Showing videos on The Launch Directory

Videos from YouTube, Vimeo, Loom and more play right on your listing, grouped by kind.

Updated

Overview

Paid launches have the full profile, so their videos play directly on the listing. Free listings show the video section locked. There is one main video, shown at the top of the screenshots. The limit for extra videos is 24.

Allowed sources

We accept YouTube (normal, youtu.be, Shorts, embed or live), Vimeo (even private links), Loom, Wistia, Vidyard, Dailymotion, TikTok, and .mp4/.webm files on your own website. X/Twitter posts, playlists and channel links are not accepted; the form says why.

Add, label, reorder

In your account: Your listings, Profile sections, Videos. Paste the link - the title fills in - then choose the kind; your own title and a one-line description are optional. Use Move up, Move down or Remove to arrange them, and 'Edit kind, title and description' to change one. Each is marked Customer review, Demo, Promo, Tutorial or Other.

The listing

Visitors see them in groups: customer reviews, promo videos, tutorials, demos, other. Playback starts only when a visitor presses play - nothing loads from the host before that (youtube-nocookie, Vimeo do-not-track). Every video carries its title and description, its length and upload date if the host provides them, and a 'Watch on <site>' link.

Across sites

Videos belong to the company, so they appear on every site that lists it. For search and AI tools, each video has structured data, appears in the video sitemap and is named in llms.txt.

Maintenance

Videos are re-checked weekly: one that is removed, made private or has embedding turned off is hidden and the owner gets one email; it comes back by itself once it is available again.

Yes, under 'Edit kind, title and description'.
Do I add the videos on each site?
No. Videos belong to the company and show on every site that lists it.
