How voting works on The Launch Directory
Sign in to vote once per launch. Votes are authentic—no payment changes the count, and abuse is caught and held for review.

Filing your vote
To vote on a launch filed in The Launch Directory, you must sign in and confirm your email address. You may cast one vote per listing, and only on launches currently live. This maintains the integrity of the record.
The voting sequence
You cannot vote for your own launch until you have voted for at least one other launch. This rule ensures active participation from the community rather than self-promotion alone.
Occasionally, a quick human check may appear as you vote. We also enforce hourly and daily limits to prevent abuse. Any suspicious bursts of activity are flagged and held for review; votes in such patterns are not counted until cleared.
Votes are never for sale
The Launch Directory keeps four systems entirely separate: community votes, paid ranking (the billboard), verification badges, and factual data such as Domain Rating. Each is labelled clearly. No payment whatsoever changes your vote count. Votes remain authentic votes.
Active community members do earn influence over time, which can give their vote greater weight in the archive. This reflects genuine participation, not spending.
Questions people ask

- Only after you have voted for someone else's launch first. This encourages community engagement across the full record.
- Will my votes disappear if I see suspicious activity?
- Suspicious bursts are flagged and held for human review. Votes are not counted until cleared, but your legitimate votes remain filed.
- Does paying for the billboard affect my vote count?
- No. Paid ranking, community votes, verification and factual data are entirely separate systems. Payment cannot change votes.
