How does the Product review work?
The Product review is a commissioned, paid assessment shown separately from community reviews, and never affects vote counts or rankings.

Commissioning a structured assessment
The Product review ($19) is a paid, structured assessment of your product. It is compiled from your public website pages and your listing. Once you commission it, the review is produced and published immediately. You cannot alter it after publication.
Display and separation
The review appears in a distinct section on your listing page, marked 'Commissioned by the maker'. This keeps it visibly separate from community reviews, which are written by members of the site.
What it does not affect
The Product review carries no weight in the voting, rating or ranking systems. It adds no vote and does not alter any leaderboard position. Community reviews are written by other founders and shown in their own section. The community ranking comes from votes, never from reviews of any kind.
Purchasing the review
When you select a paid launch, you can add the Product review as an extra during the plan step. For an existing listing, sign in and navigate to /account/listings. Select the listing, choose 'Upgrades and extras', and press the button to add it. The current price is filed on the Pricing page at /pricing.
Questions people ask
- Will the Product review change my vote count or ranking?
- No. The Product review is never counted in votes, ratings or rankings. It remains separate from community voting and does not move any leaderboard.
- Can I edit the Product review after it goes live?
- No. The review is produced and published immediately after payment. As the maker, you commission it but cannot alter the text once it appears.
- Where exactly does the Product review show on my listing?
- It appears in its own marked section on your listing page, headed 'Product review' with the line 'Commissioned by the maker'. Community reviews are displayed separately.
