The upgrade at a glance
A free listing has one path to a paid launch: the upgrade option. It costs $5, charged in US dollars with VAT added where due. You receive an invoice as with any launch.
What opens when you pay
Your listing becomes a full paid launch. All profile sections unlock:
- Founder story
- Milestones
- Screenshots and demo video
- Comparisons
Your website link becomes dofollow. The Launch Directory badge is no longer required, and your listing is no longer held to your founder profile.
Votes, reviews and your page address remain unchanged. Votes are never bought.
Timing your launch
If your free listing is not yet live, the upgrade card lets you pick its week at no extra cost. This week means live now; you may choose any later week on the list. If your listing is already live, it simply stays live.
How to buy the upgrade
Sign in and open /account/listings. Next to your free listing, select 'Upgrades and extras'. The upgrade card appears first. Press the upgrade button and check out as usual.

- Does upgrading cost more than a new paid launch?
- No. The upgrade costs $5, the same as any new paid launch.
- Can I pick when my upgraded listing goes live?
- If it is not yet live, yes. The upgrade card lets you choose this week or any later week. If it is already live, it stays live.
- What happens to my votes and reviews?
- They are kept. Upgrading does not affect them.
