How badges and links work on your listing
Our badge confirms your launch on the record. Free listings need it to publish; the badge link is followed (dofollow) only when the conditions below are met.

The badge on your website
Every listing can display our badge. Visit your listing's badge page to choose a design—shape, light or dark, size to suit your site—then copy the HTML snippet provided. The badge links directly to your listing page here at The Launch Directory.
Publishing a free listing
Free listings publish only once our crawler detects a badge link to your listing on your website. A free listing waits for two things, the badge and a complete founder profile. We check automatically every 7 days. If the badge is removed, your listing reverts to "waiting for badge" status and we notify you by email. Reinstate it and automatic re-publication follows.
Link status
Badge links begin as nofollow. Our system assesses them live: a badge becomes dofollow when your site's Domain Rating (Ahrefs) reaches 20 or higher and passes our spam checks. Paid launches receive a dofollow link on the listing page; free listings receive nofollow.
Earned badges
Award badges—Launch of the Week, Launched and Verified—appear automatically when earned. A Featured badge is bought with a paid Featured period; it is not won.
